Wow, what a difference a few weeks makes. The Packers are not only mortal, they are in second place in the NFC North Division. Things had better turn around quickly or this season will go down the drain.

The only good thing about the game today is that I took advantage of the great weather to work in the yard (mostly raking leaves), so I only caught bits of it on the radio and when I stopped inside to check the TV. So a wonderful fall afternoon was not ruined by the Green Bay mess.

I went golfing. Great choice. Packers are toast. Last year's loss at Seattle was the end of the line for Titletown. They are done.

Montee Ball worked out with the Packers today. They do need to shake up their running game.

Really? It seems like Starks and Lacy are pretty adequate. Perhaps even better than average as a tandem.

If the Packers have some money to spend under the cap, they should be looking to shore up the OL and receiver corps. At 8-4 it's hardly time to start looking towards next year. They can still fix this one.

Lacy missed curfew. I wouldn't be terribly surprised if they turn him loose next year unless he gets it together right now. And I mean now. Eat less. Work harder. Watch film.
Or the Browns may have room for a backup. We're not there....yet.

5 carries for 4 yards
1 catch for -3 yards

Total 6 plays for 1 yard.

To be fair, the line needs to open holes and due to injuries it's a mess. But dude needs to take care of himself and put in the work.

Exactly.
We don't know if his being out of shape contributed to his injuries. If the Pack had a healthy Lacey for the home game against Detroit, it probably would have been a win. Had he not fumbled against Chicago, probably a win there. We'd be looking at 10-2 with the game at Arizona deciding the 2 seed.

With all the injuries it will be hard to win the NFC North. Even falling out of the playoffs is possible.

Not if Minnesota puts on a few more performances like yesterday.

Lacy had strong games against Chicago and Minnesota. He had too few carries against the Lions to draw any conclusions. Crockett had one good run. Mostly the Packer O-line was crunched.

It's not clear that Lacy is out of shape, he has returned to being productive.

Smacked 38-8 in AZ. News says some Packers are dopers. Final game against Min will determine playoff seed. Not looking good for Packers. They won't go far in playoffs.

I assume he's referencing the Al Jazeera report that accused Clay Matthews and Mike Neal of using HGH.

Heard it on local radio. Al Jazeera is a good source.

Documentary links Peyton Manning, other pro athletes to use of PEDs
http://espn.go.com/nfl/story/_/id/14441 ... s-use-peds

"Denver Broncos quarterback Peyton Manning has been listed in an Al Jazeera undercover probe as one of several prominent professional athletes alleged to have been supplied illegal performance-enhancing drugs from an Indiana-based anti-aging clinic...

The report links several other athletes to HGH and other drugs, including Green Bay Packers linebacker Mike Neal, who allegedly introduced teammates Julius Peppers and others to Sly. The report also mentions Pittsburgh Steelers linebacker James Harrison, Peppers and Neal as athletes who received shipments of a new performance-enhancing drug called Delta-2 from Sly.

The report goes on to say that Sly furnished Clay Matthews with painkillers and that Howard, Zimmerman and Tyson received drugs from Sly. Matthews's reaction mirrored Manning's and the two other Packers named in the report. "I think it's bull---- to be completely honest with you," Matthews said. "It's 100 percent falsified, fabricated information."
