With the introduction of Rutgers and Maryland in 2014, the oddly named "Leaders" and "Legends" divisions with be retired, replaced by "East" and "West". Wisconsin's Iowa rivalry will be back in place and we also benefit from having Ohio State moved out of our division.
The West division will include: Wisconsin, Nebraska, Iowa, Minnesota, Northwestern, Illinois and Purdue. Something tells me that the young rivalry brewing between Wisconsin and Nebraska just got another kickstart.
The East division will include: Indiana, Michigan, Michigan State, Ohio State, Penn State, Rutgers and Maryland.
I understand the geographic realignment, but the parity isn't so hot. Perhaps they should have put Michigan and Michigan State in the West, not that I'm really complaining.
