Notice there is a p in your pool

Postby john_titor » Fri Aug 10, 2012 9:18 pm

I had sworn off hot tubs long ago. I really started to get creeped out about public pools a few years back. It's not so much germs, more knowledge of what I am ingesting. Kind of like a Fear Factor episode. The fact that people that swim all day pee in the pool obliterates the last of my delusional hope.

Ryan Lochte caused a bit of a stir recently when he reportedly said that he has, on occasion, urinated while in the pool; Phelps, however, suggested that it was no big deal. “I think everybody pees in the pool,” Phelps said. “It’s kind of a normal thing to do for swimmers. When we’re in the water for two hours, we don’t really get out to pee.” He added “Chlorine kills it so it’s not bad.”

When I was a kid, a lifeguard kicked me out of the pool for peeing. I told him everyone pees in the pool. He responded... but not from the high dive.

Then there is swimming in the ocean. That's where fish pee!
