Does it go with the territory that you might get beer dumped on you if you're playing outfield for the opposing team at Wrigley Field?

Having spent many a summer afternoon in the bleachers at Wrigley, I think it is lame to throw anything at a player, be they Cub or an opponent. Yelling invectives is fine, but I can definitely see it escalating to more solid material that might actually cause injury if this guy isn't made an example of.

My first reaction was "This is why we can't have nice things".

THANK YOU JOHNNY MACCHIONE!! Nothing like more proof I share a team with a bunch of assholes...

Stories about drunken Cub fans always bring me back to this...

http://giantswin.blogspot.com/2006/07/c ... crazy.html

I worked on the Chicago Board of Trade with the guy that tried to attack Randy Myers. I'll never forget picking up the newspaper the next morning, seeing an excerpted quote from his wife(who also worked there), and wishing to hell that I hadn't quit my job a month earlier. The lifetime ban from Wrigley he was issued for his escapade must have paled in comparison to the needling he received on the floor.

Interestingly enough, that exact comment was posted twice on the linked article. Was one of those you?

Macchione looks like a douche. He may have apologized, but it looks to me like he views himself as something of a hero.
