Pittsburgh Pirate Harvey Haddix took a perfect game into the 12th inning at County Stadium against the Braves on May 26, 1959.

I was eleven years old at the time and I remember listening to the game on WTMJ, with Earl Gillespsie and Blaine Walsh announcing. My dad told me that Haddix will go down in baseball history for that gem. Even though I was a die hard Braves fan, it was too bad he lost the game.

Honorable mention goes to Dock Ellis, who tossed a no-hitter one evening in 1970 after having LSD for lunch.
