Now I can watch a MNF with the sound on, at least until I start to get upset with Jaws. But that usually doesn't come on until the 2nd half, whereas my hatred of Kornheiser was visceral and immediate.

Kornheiser was made for talk radio and PTI; MNF, not so much. I can't stand Chucky, but I'm willing to give him a chance(can he be that much worse than Tony or Dennis Miller? No.)

Kornheiser was put in that booth to be a reason why a casual fan might tune in Seattle vs. Denver or stay tuned in for the entire game. Instead, he became the reason why that fan, and a lot of others, turned those kinds of games off.

Look for a podcast soon. I think that's his true calling. Anyone who heard his old ESPN show via the web, with live mics during commercials, would agree.

I remember hearing something from Peyton Manning, himself a notorious student of game films, wherein he said he'd go out of his way to watch any sideline stuff involving Gruden 'cause he was hilarious.
