Veteran backup for Rogers?

Postby Henry Vilas » Sun Sep 28, 2008 6:59 pm

Who's available to fill in for Aaron Rogers, as his injuries continue? Flynn looked like a deer caught in the headlights.

They had a veteran back up. His name is Brett Favre and now he plays for a team in NY called the Jets. The Packers traded him for a third round draft choice. BTW He threw for 6 TDs today.

I think Trent Dilfer is available; he was yapping at Colin Cowherd this morning.

I wonder if the Rams started Trent Green's corpse this weekend to showcase him for a trade to a desperate team(hello Patriots, Packers).

Are you sure it wasn't the other way around? Cowherd always sounds like someone trying to prove how much he knows about stuff.

There's always Sexy Rexy. He's ridin the pine. Maybe we could throw one of our 8 competent wide receivers at the problem. So what's the deal with Rogers? Anyone know how long he's out? I haven't heard squat. All I know is he threw one hell of a TD with that elbow dislocated or not. Seems like something he could recover from pretty quickly.

Yeah, he lasted a few games longer than I expected without getting dinged, now the Pack might rue the day they let 4 go to the Jets.

What is this 6 (total) regular season games he's thrown a ball in, and he's been injured 3 times?

Not exactly an iron man...

We(Tampa) have Jeff Garcia available for trade. Veteran, winning QB who is well versed in the WC offense.

As far as Rodgers and injuries, I seem to remember saying something about this a few months back when the Pack ran Favre off.
