Weekly Packer Predictions

Postby crevice beatle » Sat Sep 13, 2008 10:31 am

This weeks game - @ Detroit

Packers 24 Detroit 10

I could be way off here - they are coming off a short week and it is questionable how much they are not looking ahead to Dallas...

Other thoughts... Aaron Rodgers will go another game interception free and will have more pass attempts then in the Vikings game.

Pack comes out sluggish and Lions have some fire to prove they're not terrible at home. They come out with ten points before you know it.

But the Lions ARE terrible and quickly drop a few touchdowns, which the Pack milks until the end. Lions have a quarter, maybe more of what is essentially garbage time: 31-24

I don't think anyone could've foreseen a game like that one. I felt a little bad for Kitna after the 2nd interception---but then after the 3rd (2nd for a touchdown), I really just wondered how it is he is still playing in the NFL. I think it is safe to say that the Packers easily have the best quarterback in the NFC North.

Next week - Dallas

I usually make it a point to come up with honest predictions, not ones merely based on what I want to have happen... Dallas should win this game but for now, I'm predicting the Pack will take this one.

Packers 27 Cowboys 20

I predict that in the next week and a half, the Packers will take a serious look at now-formerRams cornerback Fakhir Brown.

I predict that the Packers will go on a 2-7 stretch, with last week as the first stat in that record.

Cullen Jenkins is out for the season.

I predict the Pack picks up CC Sabathia and suffers no loses after this past weekend. What can I say I'm an optimist.

And fire McCarthy, hire Dale Sveum as interim Manager, going 6-4 to finish the season narrowly making the playoffs.
