Bullshit. The Republicans have been doing fine with that business model since before the railroads. They lost the fucking factories and couldn't bounce back. What's so hard to understand about that? This was not only a highly complex bounce to manage, it was the first one of its size so the playbook was a little short.

Plenty of Republicans and Democrats have fucked up easier projects, plenty of times.
