Kurt is in favor of increased mining ...

Kurt is in favor of increased mining ...

... of asteroids:

Breaking: Private company does indeed plan to mine asteroids… and I think they can do it

In the short term, it's still necessary for us to obtain resources by shaving off the earth's natural covering of soil and vegetation, digging big holes in the ground, extracting large quantities of rock, treating them with chemicals and lots of energy, and then piling the waste somewhere to slowly contaminate the groundwater and surface water.

In the long term, though, it makes lots of sense to mine asteroids instead.

The only question then is: who owns the robot miners?

I for one welcome our new robotic mining overlords.
