And Now For Some Good News

Postby Mean Scenester » Thu Mar 17, 2011 1:54 pm

We can all use a lift in light of all the depressing state, national and world news. So here it is. Garrison Keillor is retiring. Oh, how I'll miss his tuneless warbling as I scramble to reach for the radio dial in search of anything ... ANYTHING ... not bearing his overinflated imprint.

"I'm pushing forward, and also I'm in denial. It's an interesting time of life," Keillor told the publication.

Dude, hate to break it to ya, but you've been in denial for at least two decades, as is anyone who still claims your threadbare shtick to be amusing. Time for A Prairie Home Colonic. Thank fucking god.

Don't forget about the incessant breathing into the microphone. Makes my hair stand on end.

I would posit that anyone describing themselves as a Mean Scenester isn't in the target demographic for PHC in the first place.
