Is Emily Mills' career as a shock jock blossoming?

Postby HOMOsapien » Tue Jan 25, 2011 3:08 pm

It looks like her involvement in the '"kill" the right/republicans/conservatives/people-we-disagree-with' lefty entertainment piece is getting national attention.

It looks as if she is getting the attention and agreeing approval she is seeking. I'm wondering when she will play the victim and cry about the death threats? God forbid she ends up like this guy after aggressively and verbosely lipping off to the wrong people.

Good job isthmus tabloid!

Tone down the rhetoric or we will threaten and possibly kill you?

Nice argument. You're 0-2 today...

That was skirting? And what is this reference to attracting national attention? Was she mentioned on Fox? And why the sudden venom? The Planned Parenthood article?

Can anyone imagine a "play" where "tea party activists" or "pro-life" types conspired to murder liberals? I mean, it's beyond the pale.

Homo is over the line with the Berg link, but Miss Mills and her castmates are headed into a well-deserved shit-storm of public criticism.

We don't have to imagine the "play," idiot. It happens all the time in the real world, at least to people the radical anti-abortion crowd perceives to be liberal.

Does the name George Tiller ring a bell, Ned, or has the GOP crack you're smoking wiped your short-term memory completely?

Nope, no conservatives have ever conspired to murder those they disagree with. Never happens. Thus, this exercise in turning the tables in the artistic arena is clearly an affront to our system of government.

You dumbass.

I can imagine a "movie" about patriotic commandos who slaughter left-wing activists en masse. Oh, wait, I don't have to imagine. It's Team America: World Police, one of the National Review's best conservative movies. Like The Last Supper, Team America is a satire. Unlike The Last Supper, Team America made $30 million. And it's pretty funny. I could do without "I'm So Ronery."

Ah! I sure do love feigned outrage about a narrative work of art from people who have clearly never bothered to watch or read it.

Certainly no elected official make such a crass joke:

Nope, couldn't happen.

OK, the Glenn Harper quote is sorta funny imo.

What happens at a "Lesbian Luncheon". Does everyone eat out?

Wow. The editors recognize that Team America "is hard to categorize as conservative. It’s amazingly vulgar and depicts Americans as wildly overzealous in fighting terror."

But hey, it made it to #24 because:

As the heroes move to stop a WMD apocalypse, they clash with Alec Baldwin, Tim Robbins, Susan Sarandon, Sean Penn, and a host of others, whom they take out with gunfire, sword, and martial arts before saving the day.

Sweet quote from the Nat'l Review site:
"Conservatives enjoy these films because they are great movies that offer compelling messages about freedom, families, patriotism, traditions, and more."

Did they even watch this movie?
Do they understand satire?
