Creepy Clown Van

Postby fennel » Sun Jul 14, 2013 7:59 pm

The Creepy Clown Van just went by, ominously trolling. Scared the living hair balls out of my cat.

Does anyone remember the friendly ice-cream sellers who pushed their own carts, and manually rocked a small deck of bells to announce their arrival? Even when they migrated to small trucks, they had similar bells for a while. Sweet, tinkling bells!

Now it's just creepy-ass noise pollution in a seedy van with bald tires.

And the kids are wearing latex gloves.

I remember ice cream sellers on bikes that had a cooler in the front, with bells on the handlebars. Nothing better than a red, white and blue bomb pop in the summer! Plus this song always makes me smile: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nu3TvC9CH18

More like this, but white.

And unlike the Jonathan Richman song, no chimes - only bleary loudspeakers foretelling the torment of the damned.
