What's the motive? Is it impossible for it to have been vandalism perpetrated by someone else?

He does claim to have noticed muddy footprints.

Perhaps the driver was DUI. And not just on alcohol?

As someone else mentioned, call corporate.

If they still don't satisfy then, yeah, don't patronize them any more.
I wouldn't.
And next time, do take out.

For a vegan pizza, it's not bad.
At least they don't put raw broccoli on it which Glass Nikel does which takes away from the taste of the other veggies.

This should have been simple. What allegedly happened is criminal damage to property, so you should have called the police, mentioned the delivery guy, and allowed them to check on footprint and tire track matches.

Without those matches, you've got no proof that it wasn't, say, a neighbor that wanted payback in the middle of the night for some other disagreement. And now that you've waited this long, the recent rains will have destroyed the evidence.

Btw, why would a delivery driver destroy your yard and walk through the mud before walking up to your door and ringing the bell? Makes no sense.

Encyclopedia Brown would find all of this highly suspicious.

I'm just gonna throw this out there.
Is there any chance that, due to the extent and/or nature of the work performed or the resulting product, there was some confusion on the part of an otherwise responsible driver in identifying the acceptable areas for vehicular access? In other words, did the yard and/or driveway look so effed up after the work was done that s/he couldn't see the "line" between the driveway and the yard?
Could the lawn have gotten "tore up" because a delivery vehicle strayed only slightly from the hard surface?

Is it at all possible that this was an honest mistake and not an intentional act?

By the way, what "seedlings" were present immediately after seeding the yard?

I seem to recall an Onion article that, although fictitious on the surface, could provide useful real world insight into this ill fated event.

I would hope so, but I would also hope they would actually need some evidence before doing so. Again, Gorcon neither witnessed the destruction nor called to complain until the next day. If Gorcon is really claiming they can't tell when a car drives up onto their lawn, then who's to say when it happened? If I was the manager and the driver wasn't already someone I knew was a jerk, I'd probably give them the benefit of the doubt after some simple questioning.

I agree, but I'm still unclear what action Gorcon wants Rocky's to take.

From my post:
"Long story short, the pizza came just after dark, we paid and even tipped 5 dollars and had dinner. However when we woke and headed out front to admire our work we were greeted by 6 to 12 inch deep tire tracks all over our fresh seeded and hayed lawn!!!."

The driver had backed out and parked in driveway before coming to door. Driveway is down hill and away 100ish feet away from front door.

1. Anknowlage and Apoligize
2.Repair and reseed lawn, or at least offer
3.Refund purchase
4. Gift card of some sort would be a nice gesture.
5. None of my business but the driver should be .....something.?? Personally Id fire him for such an unbelievable dog thing to do to somebody, Especially ! a paying customer of many, many years. Did he think we wouldn't notice...?
Just imagine the scene Monday morning when we walked out there before work!!! He had pulled in backed up a bit then pulled in again, backed up turning around and drove down the road to our driveway leaving muddy tire tracks all down the road!! Now I'm all pissed off about this again!! Dumb asses! lol

The entire thing is pretty ghetto of Rocky's if you ask me.

While it is painfully obvious that Gorcon wasn't an english major, I also get the the feeling that his errors with grammar and spelling are committed…on purpose.

No one who can reasonably find this forum and start posting would make so many glaring mistakes. Basically, any word that could be commonly mis-used is done so here. Nice work, jerk. So what's your real beef with Rocky's, eh? Get fired, did you?

"Alright, prepare for your gang initiation. Now, we used to curbstomp new members into the gang... But we decided to move on to a more hardcore initiation. Find a recently seeded lawn and drive your car through a small portion of it. THUG LIFE!"

For driving on someone's freshly-seeded lawn, perhaps?

Maybe it's just me, but this story could hardly cause me to have a lower opinion of Rocky Roccoco's than I had before.
