I've smelled something near Oscar Meyer on multiple occasions that most strongly reminded me of the way my old Toyota MR2 smelled in the days leading up to it's clutch failing. Just a burnt metal/composite smell that's highly distinct. I assumed it was one of their semi trucks in need of repair the first couple of times, but it keeps occurring pretty consistently.

There's a train yard right there - I don't know anything about locomotive powertrains or brakes, though.

It's the Ron Johnson for Senate campaign.

No, you're thinking of the Nine Springs waste treatment plant for that one. On a hot, humid day.

Bertsen Brass and Aluminum Foundry, 2334 Pennsylvania Avenue, is doubtless what you're smelling:

I smell them when the wind is right, and I live near Johnson & North.
