University Ave., Broom St. Construction

Postby Shorty » Fri May 14, 2010 8:58 am

The weather is getting nice so it's time for another season of road construction to begin. Two University Avenue intersections and on Broom Street from May 17 until late August. I'm not looking forward to the traffic delays.

Some University intersections really need to be fixed (Midvale, also Breeze Terrace) but is my memory fading? It seems like University is getting something fixed every other year.

Yes, your memory is fading. Or maybe there's parts of campus you missed. It's not every other year; it's been constant major projects for at least the last five or six.

Here is another bad one. Monday Morning 5/17/10
University from Murray Street Mall west through the intersection at Park ST is closed. Down to two lanes. No left turn at Park St. Detour down Brooks.
Going north, detour Left at Dayton ST. Street closed at Johnson.
Park Street ripped up between Univ and Johnson.
