OFFICIAL CREDIT CARD PARKING METER THREAD

Postby blunt » Mon Apr 30, 2007 11:31 am

Prototypes now on W. Main and Henry.
Numbered stalls, one machine.
(Dammit---I have to walk a few feet out of my way!)
You can use coins or credit, debit, or gift cards (as long as it's Visa or Mastercard.)
No paper money.
You can prepay for 2 hours but you're not supposed to go over the time limit---using your card to rack up 2 more hours will work but you may get a hand-slap in the mail.
So swipe your card for the first 2 hours and just dump coins in thereafter.
How do I know all this?
The nice parking meter ambassador lady stationed on the sidewalk on a folding chair under an umbrella told me so.

Isn't that the name of a Smashing Pumpkins album?

Should be.
Both Smashing Pumpkins and the new meters are no longer working.
The techs are out there this morning squatting hard at work to fix the technology that makes our lives run smoother.

Now that shouldn't be.

Maybe they should go see Floyd; he can set them on the path to easy squatting.
