Peet's is an interesting choice for coffee vendor.

Not local and not the best coffee.

Peet's Coffee is fantastic, are you crazy?

I think they will be the only place serving Peet's in Wisconsin. That does not mean it isnt good.

No, that does not.

My experience with it out in California, however, does bear on my opinion.

I agree that many people rate it highly, but there is a certain contingent that simply finds it less than pleasant.

More to the point, there are plenty of very good local coffee shops that use fair-trade coffee.

It is too bad that one of those was not chosen as the vendor.

I'm so excited! I've been wanting to see "Away From Her" and it's one of the opening week films.

This brings up an interesting question: Whither Westgate? Certainly, the atmosphere is lacking compared to Sundance. How will they compete?

No photographs of the interior of the theater(s)?

I like the chairs facing the brick wall. Surely those are the best seats in the house.

What can I tell you... it's a theater. Maybe I'm strange, but I didn't find it all that interesting. Stadium seating (really nice seats, however), a screen and some speakers.

Plus, it's dark in there and I don't have a great flash.

Good question. I haven't been to Westgate in a long time because the seating wasn't that great. I guess I've been spoiled by the stadium type seating that modern theaters have, so it drives me nuts when I have someone's head in my way and that always happened at Westgate. It will be interesting to see how they respond to the new competition.

I'm wondering about ticket prices, too - I looked at all the news articles I could find, and I haven't found specific information (other than some mention of the fact that ticket prices will be higher than other Madison theaters). Does anybody know for sure?
