schools: public or private

What are the things that puzzle, enrage, delight and tickle you as you go about your life in Madison?

What sort of school do you send your kids to?

schools: public or private

Postby Bette » Fri Jul 01, 2005 12:04 pm

I was really surprised when I realized that more than half of the folks I know and/or work with send their kids to private schools. These folks live in Madison, and not all of them make tons of money. My questions to the child-rearing forons out there is "Do you send your kids to public or private schools?"

(I'm not answering my own poll as I'm not a child-rearer.)

public schools thin the herd. like mary tyler moore, if you can make it there, you can make it anywhere.

i worked at a private school for one semester, teaching german to 3 year olds--there's a valuable life skill. shame shuttled me out the door post-haste.
