Don't tell me this town ain't got no heart

So let me get this straight. A homeless man is sleeping at night on the Capitol Square and some 31 yr old guy stomps him to death. WTF is Madison coming to?

A tragedy, yes, but you're going to let this guy represent the whole of Madison?

I guess I'm just in shock that this could happen here.

Good stuff happens here too

At first glance of the thread title I thought you were referring to this.

So what is this thread about?

(That violin story should be in the "Headlines that need help" thread.)

Edit: Never mind. Found it in the Star Tribune. http://www.startribune.com/local/212459681.html

You are right that there is a lot of heart in Madison. This case just struck me as incredibly cruel and unusual. Imagine being stomped to death as you emerge from your sleep- as if life isn't already tough enough living on the streets. Alas, man's inhumanity for his fellow man is present world-wide:(

I did the same thing 2 days ago on the ramp from Aberg Ave. to Packers heading northeast. Ya just gotta poke around.....
