Walker blames media for bad poll numbers

It'll sell with his base. Most others will see it for the whining that it is.

The article quotes Walker as saying he only hears "good things" at his listening sessions around the state. Is anyone aware of Walker holding an actual announced-in-advance, open-to-everyone, agenda-free listening session anywhere in the state over the last year or so? It seems to me that lately all the direct quotes I hear from him are either answers to reporters' shouted questions outside otherwise closed events (like the United Negro College fundraiser a few weeks ago) or from his speeches at political rallies (where I have no doubt that the audience is well trained to say plenty of "good things" on cue). An actual free-range response to an actual free-range constituent would be a refreshing change from the usual half-baked nonsense that our beloved Governor so doggedly repeats and repeats in his charmingly affectless manner.

Walker Applauds the United Negro College Fund for Higher Education Efforts. Meanwhile, he cuts funds for higher education. What a lying hypocrite.

Of course he's applauding them. Somebody has to step and fund higher education. It sure isn't going to be the State!

Walker approval rating 38 percent in latest Marquette poll

His speaking at the Republican National Convention probably won't help his poll numbers.

I don't think it will make any difference at all. I think that's the base number that supports this piece of human garbage no matter what he does.

The latest poll still has Walker at a 38% approval rating.

I hope the Dems can finally get a candidate that can beat him if he plans to run again.

Wisconsinites agree with the title of this thread.

Obama more popular than Walker in Wisconsin

Here is the thing I worry about - and I expect most of us plebian miss.
There isn't a hairwidth of difference between a Walker / Obama & Clinton in terms of expected policy result. I do not like anything on the menu.

That is utter nonsense. Do you really think that the justices that would be nominated for the Supreme Court wouldn't have a "hairwidth of difference" in how they'd rule? Really???
I haven't encountered a single person of any persuasion who believes THAT. Perhaps you're the first.

Did you observe what happened tonight?
That is your menu.
Why do you assume supreme court nominations are something to be primarily worried about?
I'm not saying it's not a concern - but come on!
Aren't we waiting for action on a weak nominee - with regard to what most voted for Obama to do? This status & arguement is bullshit.

Yes, I did watch the entire debate. One of the the candidates was clearly superior to the other. It's too bad that you have apparently bought into the 24 years of systematic smears by the right wing attack machine, but you're not the only one.

Right. And of course it is because he has so ill-served the state that they keep re-electing him.

The left is as ignorant at the local level as they are at the Federal.
