Thug. I guess it just rolls off the tongue. Kind of like 'goon,' or 'slob.'

Thugs, goons, and slobs. What a wonderful world it could be.

Blaska, I mean bdog, gets permit for a conservative group to sing this noon at the Capitol. SS will be outside.

It makes you consider what Blaska's motives are.

Why today? There were plenty of other dates he could have picked before the arrests or in the weeks to come.

Is he trying to stop arrests at the Capitol that make Walker look like a dictator that suppress his opposition?

Is Blaska the tool we think he is and doing the Governor's bidding to get the SS out of the building for a day to reconsider his position on the arrests?

Is Blaska just clueless and wants to show that you can sing at the Capitol and not get arrest? Not realizing the 1st Amendment rights that the SS are standing up for.

Does Blaska hope for a confrontation with the SS to show they are a radical element?

Some many questions so little time to figure it out before noon!

Hadn't considered that one.

Blaska always came across as someone who thought so highly of himself and so much smarter than anyone else in the room that he would shill himself out for exposure didn't cross my mind.

His blogs on Isthmus were like lectures on why we were too stupid to see what was really going on in Madison and the surrounding area and if we only had that knowledge we would turn into R voters who saw how we were duped.

If it is true, how the mighty have fallen.

I got down to the Capitol Building today, which happens maybe once a week for me. I generally don't sing, but I enjoy watching the folks that do. It was beautiful weather so it made sense to sing outside. Funny to see the press there hoping for a clash or arrests. Instead, they got to report that all was pretty normal, but much bigger than it has been for over a year because of the stupidity of whoever is making the decisions to "enforce the law," if it really is "the law."

For over a year there have been maybe 10-15 folks on most days that I saw, and you never saw the press or the cops. How can folks leading this know how many people are going to show up? How can you really know who is part of the group? I mean am I part of the group if I watch for 10 minutes?

Still, I think it makes sense to just get the permits. Who wants to put everyone who just wants to watch under threat of arrest?

Unless one of the things you're protesting is the fact that you shouldn't be forced to get permits.

Oh, and the fact that after you get the permit you can then be charged for "damage" after the fact, amount determined by the administration, no appeal.

Maybe they'll be charged $7 million for messing up the marble floors again.

Oh, wait...

Yeah.. refresh my memory, did Huebsch write that up on a napkin? Or was it notebook paper?

What an unfortunate joke.

If it appears damage has happened beyond the reach of ordinary cleaning, a stone-by-stone assessment will have to be undertaken to determine the scope of the work to be done. They aren't joking when they say it could get costly, but nobody yet knows if it WILL get costly.

Stone by stone assessment - an unfortunate joke indeed!
