Don't forget that Schultz is being contested in his own primary by the right wing of the GOP.

So Kathleen Vinehout is a non-starter as a Dem candidate for governor because she was a little nuanced somewhere along the line when it came to abortion politics... but Dems should think about enticing Dale Schultz to run against Walker on the donkey-ticket even though he lock-stepped with the GOP in voting in favor of the state-mandated rape-via-ultrasound-wand bill (while Ellis broke the gavel-stand telling the Dems to sit down and shut up?)!?!

Meanwhile, Vinehout gave an impassioned speech AGAINST that bill, bringing personal experience and constituent testimony to her words -- and was dismissed as "theatrics" by a ranting Mary Lazich who went on to assert that you had to have an abortion in the 60s to get your real-woman badge.

I'd love to vote for Vinehout, if some suitable money-geyser could be found to get her properly introduced to the state... (but Emily's List probably would turn up their noses, since NUANCED ON ABORTION!)

I belong to no organized party, I'm a Democrat!

Yep. Schultz is really only useful for showing just how fucking whacked the rest of the GOP is. He'd still be way too far to the right for me to ever vote for him, no matter whether there's a D or an R after his name.

4 pages in and so far we have Vinehout, Faulkner, and Burke.

I would count Faulkner out, Burke as a probably not, and Vinehout as a possibility. Jeebus Christ, is this all we got? I really can't think of anyone else out there either. I do like Barca, but I just don't see that happening. Mark Miller maybe?

If I see Falk's name or Barret's name come up I'm gonna punch the first person I see.

LeRoy Butler.

Or, should LeRoy be unavailable, one of the BoDeans.

Aaron Rodgers is probably a Republican.

Rogers is the Packer's player union rep. The anti-union crowd would hold that against him.

So you would not vote in a Schultz-Walker contest?

well, I'm sure that Schultz has hundreds of votes unattractive to liberals.

Schultz is the only Republican that voted against the Walker budget. That guy has courage and integrity. He said it was too hard on his low income constituents. I expect that being a Republican is part of his identity, I doubt he would switch to Dem Party.

The Dems have zero chance of beating Walker with a generic candidate, IMO. Going outside the box is the way to go. Schultz running against Walker could be a refreshing choice that might excite voters.

The Dems are running polls to see if Mary Burke might have a chance. The GOP doesn't like it.

Will say it again -- on paper, Mary Burke is a great candidate. No idea if she wants it, or how she'd be on the stump, but I assume she'll poll very well. Top flight private sector business experience, executive department leadership exactly where Walker is weakest, moderate member of school board, attractive -- if she can give a speech, and has the fire, she would be Walker's worst nightmare.

The Dems needs a deep pocket candidate like Burke since Walker has already raised millions for his campaign, most of it coming from out of state.
