I know. It's like a window into some sort of new age religious cult.

Have I? Group think... the gold pavement to hell thanks to good intentions... tyranny of the majority... the absolute corruption of absolute power?

Okay. Glad you got my (and, I think, Blaska's) point, Stu.

Sincerely glad.

Hmmm. Check out p. 19 of that report- Sarah's "Manski for Wisconsin" committee reported a $5 contribution from "(Ben) Manski for Wisconsin." Also check out p. 21 - "Manski for WI" reported a $72.22 loan to "(Ben) Manski for WI" and, a few days later, a $964.42 loan to "(Ben) Manski for WI." Why was the Committee for Sarah Manski's School Board run making loans to "(Ben) Manski for WI"?

Campaign finance is confusing.

It really is. It could make a man (and/or woman) want to leave town.

and the sprinkles:

Instead of a retired police officer and mentor to young people, MTI appears to have elected its man for Seat #3. Loumos’ endorsers are almost identical to the camp that endorsed Sarah Manski and T.J. Mertz: Progressive Dane, AFSCME, AFL-CIO, UW Teaching Assistants, leading Democrats or the party itself, MTI and/or John Matthews himself. Mayor Paul Soglin and the Green Party endorsed Loumos and Manski.

Wanna bet against the Madison Prep charter school being re-introduced? Remember: The amended collective bargaining agreement allows the school board to institute a non-instrumentality charter school by majority vote. Unless Strong can squeak through, I don’t see it succeeding with this school board.

In that case, the city’s pronounced minority achievement gap and absence of any cohesive school district plan to address it are state’s evidence for school vouchers.

Ah yes, the argument-by-assertion gambit.

No, I don't really miss your contributions to this board, Dave.

Loumos taught at-risk students in the district's alternative programs. He was in the trenches and worked with the very students affected by the achievement gap. The only criticism of him is a cry of "unions are bad." Typical.

Can we just have this renamed the "Copy and paste what Blaska says" post? I should already know not to click on it, but that seems to be what it's turning into.

Can you blame us for trying to give Blaska a little more exposure?

The poor, butt-ugly bastard is getting maybe 15% of the page views on the comically-misnamed "In Business" that he used to get here.
