Maryland (a pretty blue state, IIRC) is by far the worst state overall, though the worst single district is in NC. The top ten worst gerrymandered states are pretty evenly split between red and blue.

ya, the out of power party has a good chance when things are f-ed up. I still expect on average that the Republicans can do better than Dems in relatively low turnout elections, and that's what midterms often are.


Perhaps that is what I perceive your tribe is counting on...
