It's time to Pass a Pro-Life Constitutional Amendment

Postby SerenaK608 » Wed Oct 26, 2011 10:52 pm

We have becoming so coarse as a society toward those who are truly the most defenseless among us...this includes unborn children. It's scientific fact that a new, unique person comes into existence at conception. We can't stand to look at the violent images of what happens to these babies during an abortion. Many self-proclaimed "pro-choice" people admit that they have a hard time finding peace in that position. Abortion is a final, violent act to something that doesn't have to mean life and death. It's time to combine our collective community resources to help women in unplanned pregnancies---not just help them come up the couple hundred they need to have someone perform a dangerous, intrusive surgery that not only ends the life of their baby, but often leaves emptiness that lasts a life time. I strongly support Rep. Jacque's effort on this amendment!

The undifferentiated cells in a blastocyst or a zygote equals a baby? I never knew that.

How about we pass a constitutional amendment for the government to stay the fuck out of people's personal decisions that are not criminal actions against another already-born person.

It's really very sad when you think about it. Serena here has probably voted her entire life Republican under the impressions that they would at some point address this one issue she believes in. They won't. Ever. You;ve been played for a fool. Republicans NEED the abortion issue to scare people like you into voting for them. Banning abortion would mean they lose that. This is dead in the water for that reason alone. It's pandering. If you care about children and want your vote to do some good for once vote for candidates who will do everything in their power to make sure living children get food, shelter, clothing, good schools, and opportunity. That's a real productive actual good for the world and something representatives will actually do, not in an effort to manipulate you but because it's right.

The product of conception is part of the body of the woman whose uterus contains it. As part of her own body, it belongs to that woman and nobody else.

If the woman decides to allow the conception to proceed, once the fetus can live on its own outside her body only then does it becomes a concern of the rest of society. And believe me, there are plenty of these concerns our society is doing a very poor job of meeting.

Now let's quit complaining about imaginary babies and start taking better care of the very real children all around us.

So don't look.

That worked for the neighbors at Birkenwald, Auschwitz, and Sobibor.

There is no such thing.

No, it is not.

Then don't.

Serena, what is your position on the death penalty? I bet it's far more hypocritical than any conflict felt or displayed by pro-choice people.

Ahh, you mean to help women to think like you? you are either a liar, or a fool believing lies. your critical thinking skills are poor while your penchant for buying into fantasy is dangerous. But we're supposed to help women in trouble think like you?

There is no doubt in my mind that nothing would improve life in America more than a Constitutional Amendment to ban churches, open expression of religion and all religious influence on government.

Are those abortion hospitals? Planned Parenthood locations? Or are you trying to draw a parallel between the atrocities of Hitler and your lack of control over the bodies of American women?

Invoking Godwin's Law a little early in the discussion, aren't you?

The problem is that the Founding Fathers gave the religious a little leeway, and over the course of 200+ years you and your brethren went overboard.

Just like dad said, if you can't handle something responsibly, you shouldn't have it at all.

It's time to Pass a Pro-Life Constitutional Amendment

Couldn't agree more.

So, when does this federal ban on capital punishment come up for a vote?

I love a good wrong equivocation. Also, I love how you come around the boards once in a while to show that underneath your forced joviality you're a fucking jerk.
