So, it requires that Walker fulfills one year of his term before the petition can be officially submitted? And that the petition contains a number of signatures equal or better than 25% of the voting populace from the last election?

As of now, I could actually see this recall happening. During Walker's first 12 months, signatures could be collected and then presented when the bell tolls at year's end.

Reread my link. The signature process cannot even start until next January and forms for the recall must be filed first. Then all signatures (about a quarter million) must be collected with 60 days of the start.

OK, thanks. After the initial paperwork is filed, signatures could be collected starting 2 months before the end of Walker's first year in office. This would be the soonest this process could begin? Wisconsin might already be ended by then! So why were people clamoring for recall before he even got sworn in? Oh, I see. Premature recallists obviously had much more foresight than I. Too bad the law doesn't allow for an earlier recall.

540,208.

supaunknown is correct that circulation could begin in November, better than January, but i'd still think the chances of hitting the total are better in the spring.

You get 9 weekends, each of which has to cover almost 70,000 signatures.

Sworn In ? 520,000 Signatures? OR ....

Postby hesgottago » Wed Feb 16, 2011 2:30 pm

Why wait for him to be sworn in or bother with 520,000 signatures. There are eaiser and faster ways to get rid of him - just as the CIA to grab him and take him for torture or pay $40 for a hit.

Geeez

Ned, I thought the advocacy of "Second Amendment remedies" originated on your side of the great political divide.

Is that what Lee Harvey Oswald told you or have you just been drinking again?

You don't recognize that quote? Don't be so disingenuous.

Btw, why not go back to John Wilkes Booth or Aaron Burr?

Could there be any grounds for impeachment?

Yes, we need to catch him in bed with a dead woman or a live man.

Let's set aside the likelihood that impeachment would require that he'd have done something unlawful.

Do you really think the Republican Legislature is going to impeach him?

I know emotions are running high, but c'mon people, think!
