Instead of a streetcar system, how about raised mono-rail?

I would prefer an L train like in Chicago. I would rather ride in the air than down on the street. I hate looking at pedestrians. It makes me feel like a stalker. Just my two cents.

Someone should invent a streetcar that has power steering and pneumatic tires. That way you wouldn't have to rip up the roads to put rails in. And, there would be a lot more flexibility in choosing where it goes and doesn't go.

That would be different from a bus, how exactly? Non-combustion propulsion?
