CBS Saturday morning TV kidzone.
They loudly declare:
NOTHING IS KEWLER THAN KEWLOPOLIS!!!
Yeah, there is: everything.
A coupe standout jawdroppers:
CAKE: perky pretty kewl girls doing arts and craft and just being kewl! Every single line is ostracized and over-performed separately from the other lines so that the whole things is a gradeschool skit directed by Corky St. Clair.
The kids spout horrible puns ("Making neckaces would be a gem of an idea!) and ridiculously outdated language and references to boring stuff only a a boring adult would know and use.
Plus, we must be so united and confident in America today that this program dares to show these three little white girls hanging out with a teenage black boy. (The Asian girl is really just a white girl with brown eyes.)
Oh my intelligent designer!
Horses with long beautiful manes and muscular bodies (was that appeal of 80's metal?) teaching kids important lessons about life and junk.
Remember when proud wild stallions were broken?
Just rope, throw and brand 'em...
Don't try and understand 'em..Rawhide!
And then we called it controlling, then taming.
Now, on Horseland, destroying the spirit of a wild horse is called gentling.
Tall, gangly, teen boys with big eyes and tight pants.
Straddling riding horses, up and down, up and down, faster and faster.
I'm most definitely not a teen girl but my loins begin to glow.
If to top it all off, thrusting itself into the gap between every show, is the corporate logo:
How can cultural elitists like ourselves put TV in the Culture category? Well, where the hell else is it going to fit?
