Kouric or Schieffer?

How can cultural elitists like ourselves put TV in the Culture category? Well, where the hell else is it going to fit?

Kouric or Shieffer?

Schieffer has actually stabilized the ratings since Gunga Dan got the boot. I think the fossils that watch the 5:30 news programs can relate to him.

Hiring a liberal shill like Perky Katie could drag CBS back to the Rather Biased days that are finally behind them. I guess they'll never learn.

But all the cool people watch Fox anyway, so why should it matter if she's a pinko?

And we all know that the "reality-based community" watches the Daily Show for their "news".....

Actually, the Daily Show would probably be a better source than Fox. Pathetic, but true.

My reality-based household is too busy to watch much TV, so we tend to get our news from NPR (while cooking dinner) or from http://news.yahoo.com.

This has got to be my favorite take on it....

The woman who dressed in Marilyn Monroe and SpongeBob SquarePants outfits on Halloween and gave viewers a tour of her colon will take the position once held by the iconic Walter Cronkite...

Those in the "reality-based community" have the ability to differentiate between news clips and political satire. Fox viewers have an uncanny ability to believe everything they broadcast. Hook, line and sinker.

If you watch TV for your news nowadays, you're probably pretty ignorant to start with, so I doubt it would matter WHAT show you watched.

I nominate Kurt W for NBC's new anchorman. He never lies and he's decidedly left of center.

I get better info from the Daily Page than any news programs. Sad but true.
