Million Little Pieces

Ok... it's been awhile since all the controversy over James Frey's book and I am sure this topic has been done to death. But is "A Million Little Pieces" actually a good book, though it is mostly fictional and was misrepresented as fact? I am re-reading it at the moment and it is well written and entertaining in my opinion. What do you think?

"A Million Little Fibers" by Steven McTowlie was a great read.

I liked the part where he was in the L.A. gang.

Also the part before that, where he was raised by wolves.

Actually read both books (My Friend Leonard is Part 2), and enjoyed them. Now think of them as I do most memoirs, as works of semi-fiction (see Augusten Burroughs). After reading many memoirs, I realize that many are at least 50% bs.

Currently reading the new Eggers book, which is billed as fiction, but is really semi-biographical. Its a really great tale of one of the lost boys of Sudan and 100% of all profits go to a foundation in the main characters name, so he's def. real. But Eggers decided to call it fiction b/c its based on interviews.

It all depends on how you bill it I guess.

Except for news, I don't really care if something is true of false as long as its entertaining or useful.
