Paparazzi or Chicken Soup for ya no wha

She remembers the moment. The photographer took her picture. She remembers her anger. The man was a stranger. She had never been photographed before. Until they met again 17 years later, she had not been photographed since.

There are religions that believe a photograph taken without permission can steal your soul, or part of it anyway. I experienced
it on my Caribbean trip on the island of St. John. I was taking a photo of chickens running in the street (because I had never seen that before;) and some of the native islanders disapprovingly looked at me. My Bro told me about the superstition, cuz sometimes he smarter than me!

Did you know there are 13 parts to the soul? And I recently broke
a mirror. I’m so screwed.

Maybe “One Day” my luck will turn around. [The other song
by Fabulous ain’t so bad either. Love the Rottie!]

Life is like an ice-cream cone, you have to lick it one day at a time.

Novena to the Thirteen Blessed Souls
(Jesus and the Twelve Apostles)
(Please Note - The repeat of the first line is not a mistake it is supposed to be read twice.)

Oh my thirteen Blessed souls so wise and understanding, I ask you for the Love of God that my request be answered.

Oh my thirteen Blessed souls so wise and understanding, I ask you for the Love of God that my request be answered. Of you I ask for the sake of the blood that Jesus shed that my request be answered.

My Lord Jesus Christ that your protection wrap me with your arms. Guard me with your eyes.

O God of kindness you have been my defender in life and death. I ask that you free me from the difficulties that torment me. My thirteen blessed souls so wise and understanding having received the grace I seek from you (state request) I will be devoted to you.

[Say Thirteen Our Father's and Thirteen Hail Mary's for Thirteen
consecutive days. Publish this prayer (share it with a friend) and
give a Mass of Thanksgiving.]

I hope the Novena worked. I didn't know chickens had souls. Muslim is the only religion I know that believes a photograph taken without permission can steal your soul. I'm always careful not to photograph Muslim looking people when I'm taking street photos downtown or on campus.

Stupid tourists in Argentina

Baby Dolphin Dies After Tourists Pass It Around For Selfies
http://news.yahoo.com/baby-dolphin-dies ... 30809.html

"A rare baby dolphin has died on the beach after selfish tourists pulled it from the ocean so they could take selfies with it. Shocking footage from Santa Teresita beach in Buenos Aires, Argentina, shows the body of the marine mammal lying motionless on the floor as dozens of people surround it. The Franciscana dolphin had been passed around between sun worshippers while they took out their phones and posed for pictures."

'Selfie'?

When did we start referring to all photographs of people as 'selfies'? I don't get it.

As near as I can make out, sometime last year or maybe 2014, the word began to mean "an impromptu photo" rather than "a photo of oneself taken by oneself using a cell phone."

I think right now both definitions are being used interchangeably. No one seems to be paying attention to those of us who are annoyed that a slang term has been coopted into another meaning.

I'm still pissed off at the people who are using loose as the spelling for lose and "could of" instead of "could have" so I don't have the energy to spare for this one.
