Is this in Memorial Union, outside of Memorial Union, or somewhere near Memorial Union? Where are barriers going to be? Will the entire union be closed to non-ticket holders?

There is a site map and info here: https://badgerherald.com/revelry/
Main stage is on Langdon St facing Library Mall. Another stage will be on Mem Union terrace. I think there is a disco stage, also, near Library mall.

Wow. I wonder who coordinated all that fresh grass seeding on the library mall.

On the plus side, all those construction buildings are gone so there'll be plenty of room. And if it rains we'll see mudsliding on par with the original Woodstock.

The new grass areas are fenced off. Rain location is inside Mem Union but not rain is forecast. Looks like great weather for Revelry or getting drunk on Mifflin. Also, Ogg Hall is having a block party outside for the dormies.

Yeah, the new grass areas are fenced off with snow fence and sticks. That ought to be fine for keeping a few thousand drunk students off of it when the headliner starts and everybody surges towards the stage.

Hell, maybe it will. I'm planning on showing up to see if I'm right or not.

Let's go back to the Mifflin Street Block Party then.

'Revelry' organizers slash lineup, capacity of concert for UW-Madison students
http://host.madison.com/wsj/news/local/ ... t=headline

"A major budget cut and construction at the Memorial Union have forced organizers to slash the size and capacity of this year’s Revelry Music Festival, the spring concert for UW-Madison students and university-sanctioned alternative to the rowdy Mifflin Street Block Party. Ayla Kress, the festival’s executive director, said only five or six bands will play at the April 30 concert, down from 27 acts last year. And while those bands in 2015 played at three stages to a crowd of nearly 8,000 people around the Memorial Union, this year’s event will be limited to the single stage at the Orpheum Theater, with its capacity of just 2,000...

The changes come after the festival lost three-quarters of its budget, Kress said, including all of the funding it received from the offices of UW-Madison’s dean of students and Chancellor Rebecca Blank. While the 2015 festival had a budget of $200,000, organizers are working this year with just $50,000, most of which comes from the Wisconsin Union Directorate and a grant from the city of Madison."
