Nixon, Springsteen on Books & Beats

Got a gig coming up? A CD coming out? A new bass player who looks like Jesus and smells like a field of posies? If you're selling or promoting something, post it here.

Nixon, Springsteen on Books & Beats

Postby Stu Levitan » Sat Jan 12, 2013 2:55 pm

As topics, that is.

Madison's own Stanley Kutler discusses his new play, I, Nixon (Strollers Theater, Jan 20) and reflects on the unindicted co-conspirator on the 100th anniversary of his birth.

Peter Ames Carlin discusses his new bestseller, Bruce.

Books & Beats for Sunday, Jan. 13, 10 am on Madison's Progressive Talk, the Mic, 92.1 FM. Hope you can join us.

No questions, just a personal observation. I took both semesters of constitutional law from Kutler, just as Watergate broke. At the beginning of the first semester he told the class that his expertise was in presidential impeachments, but since the debacle of Andrew Johnson's impeachment and trial, he doubted that it would ever happen again. By the end of the second semester, he was on Nixon's enemies list.
