WTF Fest! (Frequency, 6-2-11) @ 7PM!

Got a gig coming up? A CD coming out? A new bass player who looks like Jesus and smells like a field of posies? If you're selling or promoting something, post it here.

Also, Schabow turns 67 tomorrow. Consider this show his Early-Bird Special of a birthday party.

After we finish our set (prior to 8 PM), Schabow will have a sip of the lukewarm old fashioned at his feet and promptly go to the basement to take a long nap.

I'm wearing my party dentures. During our set I'm gonna put them in a glass, right next to Schabow's Old Fashioned.

Come for the Early Bird Special tonight - salisbury stank & steamed carrots!

Uh-oh. If a lifetime of watching situational comedies has taught me anything, it's that this is a surefire recipe for hilarity. Maybe even hijinks.

I'm going for the endless dessert bar that goes with the Early Bird Schabow.

THAT WASN'T PART OF THE DEAL. (Dessert bar is an additional cost.)

I've never been so moved by a song about Argentina before.

Plus, who knew a keyboard player can rock while playing with one hand in his pocket? Is that where the sounds of the future are kept?

That was some kind of crazy lineup. The Shabelles were the only band with guitar. Thanks Darwin/Jeremy/Dustin/bartenders a la Freq and all the bands for being so dang interesting. WTFF was an insane mixed bag of fun.

I think Koo Koo Kangaroo and Superstar Fantastico playing back-to-back temporarily shorted out the aural and visual areas of my brain. I had to close the blast doors of my mind slightly to maintain near-sanity. Gravy.

Need a healing steak tonight.

Is THAT how I am known? Cripes, I need to butch it up a bit more.
