I grabbed tickets to both screenings as soon as they were announced. Bruce is phenomenal to his fans and has been nothing but generous to Madison during prior appearances.

Add me to the list of people surprised that it's not sold out yet. When he presented Army of Darkness at the Union Theater it was standing room only, and that wasn't even a premiere of the film.

I bought 4 seats expecting it to sell quickly and run into a friend complaining they didn't get in. This may still happen.

Wow, I just heard from a friend in Chicago, who has seen Bruce Campbell several times before at conventions, and swears up and down he is a total dickhead in person. I hope his assertion is proved wrong.

Anyway, with all these TDP forum people going to the show, how about we set up a 'Horror Happy Hour' before the 7pm showing to meet up and drink?

no autographs? hmmm.
then how super great can he be to his fans? not signing autographs is kinda lame.

I've seen him twice: a film screening and a book tour. Both times he sat for hours so that he could talk personally with everyone in line, sign everything they brought, and take pictures. That's pretty generous. Maybe he's dodging autographs this time due to time constraints. With two screenings in a row running pretty late, I imagine the usual autograph line would be a major inconvenience.

That's a good idea. Maybe at the second floor bar?

Yeah, I was thinking the same thing. I've always wanted to check out their bar upstairs or stop and grab a cocktail, but the times we've tried, it's been closed. They must have some kind of happy hour or drink specials going on. How's about meeting around 6pm?

Why, do you work for a gay zombie escort service? What makes you so special? Heh.

2 weeks ago some here questioned my geek cred. Just trying to re-establish myself here.

Sorry about the wrong film times, it's fixed. I think this is a great thing. I have never had the opportunity to see the guy before and am really stoked. I just finished "If chins could kill" for the second time and have just rewatched both Evil Dead 1&2.

I'm pretty sure that the early show has sold out. There were only a very few seats left when I stopped by last night. I can;t believe that the theater was even second guessing doing this perfomance. He has a huge following here.

From everything that I have seen and read on Bruce, it seems like he is a fan guy. I spoke with his agent today and it seems like the no autographs thing is due to "His time is very limited" to quote. There is always this which might make you second guess. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UUSLOAK0Irk . I'm sure you've all seen this before, I still enjoy it.

Horror Happy Hour = great idea. What time, should I bring my freind Freakshow???

If you dress up like that at the uber-Yuppie Sundance Bar Bistro, you really will look and feel like a freak. :D

I was thinking 5:30-6pm would be a good time to meet up.
