Such is the case for all metropolitan areas. You should have consider moving to a neighboring community if property taxes here are too high for you. They aren't a secret.

Did you lose your right to vote or just don't bother?

Actually, I apologize to the book police. I did not realize this was the food section. From the title page, it pulls up forum posts. I just answered a question--sorry.

To the others--Firstly--NO! it is not indicitive of ALL metropolitan areas. You really need to do some research BEFORE forming conclusions, although I noticed from other posts of yours that you are not in Madison......hmmmmm.

Secondly, no I did not lose my right to vote, I vote often, but I did exercise my right to leave Madison in 1994 and am far better off because of it. I never said I was paying them--only answering a question. However, I can see this is a very sensitive topic that you are extremely defensive about. Well feel free to disagree and keep paying them. That is your right.

So... You don't PAY Madison property taxes. You don't even live here yet you found it necessary to comment on them in a thread about restaurants? How would you know what you get for your tax dollars when you aren't even here? Why would someone complain about taxes they aren't paying? No one likes paying taxes you dolt. It's amazing you morons have been able to make a whole movement about it. It's like me starting a a political action committee to fight bad hair days. Shits gonna happen. I'm for America and Freedom! No shit? I'm for Ice Cream is just as deep a position to hold.

I do; wouldn't be able to get off my street in December or have health insurance or enjoy the relative security of knowing there are standards for restaurants preparing my food without 'em.

We take advantage of the free sundaes at Michael's on Mother's and Father's Day. With one of two sundaes free, the price is about right. We sometimes splurge on a birthday, but I've stopped going there on an impulse.

I've notice a marked decrease in business over the years at the Schroeder Road shop. It could be the prices, and cheaper competition at Vitense.

The Vitense Golf Playland what-have-you also serves food and is located directly across the street from Micheal's. I for one can't stand Micheal's. Nothing at all special about the food and the prices are just ridiculous.
