Absolutely! I always buy Krinke's. Every once in a while I'll pop the corn in wok oil flavored with garlic and ginger—I'll have to try adding hot pepper flakes to that mix. Sounds good.

I'll have to try the ginger and garlic combo, it sounds good. I go through 15 lbs of Krinke's baby rice each year...the best around! When I was a kid my Mom always popped our local baby rice in bacon grease.

That delicious salad is called Insalata Caprese

Nothing like it when tomatoes and basil can be fresh picked from the garden!
Now if I can only get some water buffalo in my garden pond to make the mozzarella........

I played the won't eat game, so might as well play the will eat.

For the last year or so, I'll throw down with black bean and rice burritos.

I drink a fair amount of raspberry flavored Klarbrunn (I don't really ever pour myself a glass of tap water).

Adding green olives to anything makes it better. Becoming better friends with the banana pepper, but an olive it ain't.

That's the spirit!

Agreed. I mix white and black baby rice from Krinke's. These days I pop it in coconut oil.

AND: I've broken free from the Popcorn Salt Racket. Met with an empty p-salt shelf two shopping trips in a row, I decided to grind up table salt in an old coffee grinder I use for spices. First try was too powdery, but my second attempt was perfect.

Something with good, fresh tomatoes — which I understand is near impossible unless you can move about the world with the greatest of ease.

For example, some variation on the caprese salad, as several have mentioned. Most recently, I made it with Dream Farm Rosebud (goat). That was stunning.

(Oh, and practically anything with fresh rosemary.)

Pizza. I love good pizza. Even mediocre pizza is OK.

When my boys groaned because they didn't care much for dinner, I replied,"When you grow up, you can have pizza for breakfast, lunch and dinner."

In the past I ate bacon, egg and onion tater tots daily.

I just saw my response from six years ago, and I still eat all of those things frequently. I have some candied ginger now but I could not stand to eat it every day. But what I do eat every day is:

Buttered toast on the dark side, sourdough or Tuscan slices.
Full-fat plain Greek yogurt with added blueberries.
Strong Brazilian-blend coffee, black.
Fresh tap water.
A glass of pinot noir.
