No. Last time I went to Marias I brought back my pie because the green peppers were rancid.
Owner 'Whatsa the matter?"
Me: "THe peppers. They're rotten or rancid or something."
Owner" "No, I only opened that can yesterday."

Me: Utterly stonefaced and unsure of what to say to that because I would never believe anyone CANNED BELL PEPPERS IN THE FIRST PLACE.

For New York Style pizza, I like Romas.

FOr the New York Style dining experience, call me. I'll charge you $15 to park and scratch the shit out of your ride. The meal's your responsiblity, though.

Well, I am now curious to give di Roma another try. I was only in there once and it was awful. And absolutely nowhere near the true "NY style" that they claimed to be. Casa Bianca was the real deal. I was very sorry to see it go. Since this ny pizza topic pops up from time to time, I would have thought they could make it here. Ian's is pretty good. Have always wondered about Picasso's. Sounds like a place to visit if for no other reason than to support a nice, local business/family. I am totally ashamed that I've never been to LaRocca's. They are absolutely next on my list!

i lived right by Picasso's for the first few years they were open. the secret to their pizza is don't get too many toppings. the toppings and pizza options are great (see roman ruler), but the crust is thin and often becomes soft from the runoff from toppings. stick to 2 or 3 toppings and if needed ask them to cook the crust crisp.

My friend who keeps up with things tells me there's a Rozino's in Clocktower Court on the west side. True? If so, and if they're using the same recipe as the old Rozino's on Fairchild, yum.

The place on Fairchild by Dotty's, Miller's, Yost's, etc. was Rozino's. I had a roommate who worked there for a while and I used to stop by around closing time for cheap slices of whatever wasn't selling well that night.

Then I think the place on Mineral Point is Rosati's. Either way, not the same place.

I believe Rozino's opened a store on Junction road in 2002. I think they might have closed. I don't get out to that part of town much.

No, I remember picking up a pie years ago at Rozino's on Junction Rd. The pizza was the same (great).
Maybe they became a Casa Bianca later on? I liked CB too, but Rozi's did have better 'za.

Oops, my bad - Casa Bianca opened not too long after my office moved to this building. 2002 was not too long after I started with the company. Wrong calculation date, sorry!
