Had a great lunch at the Maharini. I'd try Chinese, Indian or other ethnic (besides Mexican), since they tend not to be Xians. Use the eats link at the top of the page and give them a call to see if they are open.

Hong Kong Cafe was open last night, not sure about today but worth a call. Yummy food to boot. Also, I'm pretty sure the Paradise is open and they would probably grill you a burger and serve you a beer. If nothing else, I think the Walgreen's at the corner of Tokay is a 24/7 store. Various gas stations are also open around town.

Does anyone know if the Pine Cone in DeForest is open? I thought they were a 24/7 joint. That could actually be a fun Christmas night field trip to call up some friends to venture out for some holiday truck stop comfort food.

Maharaja is open, probably other Indian places
I'm betting most Asian restaurants are open (at least those run by natives)
The Paradise never closes
I bet the Wisco is open
Mickey's is open, featuring Bob and Liz and some delicious food
IHOP
Denny's
Perkins?

Well, I eventually had crab rangoon from Hong Kong Cafe, a hamburger at the Paradise and some cheese-curds at the Shamrock, so there were more than 3 places open on Christmas day. Maybe it's just that a lot of places just turned off the lights when they saw you walking up the sidewalk.

last night i gave up after calling a bunch of chinese joints and getting no answer. i raided my freezer instead, but more surprisingly were the number of restaurants still closed tonight. v brasserie, the dardanelles, and indie coffee were all dark as i drove around looking for some dec 26th dinner.

All those were open at night.

Different than night.
And Hong Kong cafe is near west.
