New State St Restaurant: THE LOVE SHACK

Postby blunt » Mon Sep 24, 2007 1:55 pm

Appearing soon in the old Discount Den space.
In the window is their url: theloveshack.com
and a sign saying:
"HOME OF THE WORLD'S BIGGEST...."
with an arrow pointing to gigantic sculpture of a rooster:
"COCK."

Hmm.

After several failed attmpts to confirm that an actual eatery called The Love Shack is coming soon (something I've heard before.....) I'm thinking this Huge Cock thing could be just a junior high joke.
If so: how did an 7th grader get rent for a downtown business space?

Someone needs to post of photo of this sign on the DP's flickr site, so it ends up on the top of this page.

Oop.
My bad (and I hate that phrase.)
98% of my downtown posts occur after several Sierra Nevada big girls.
The actual name is Loveshack----no E. (Legal stuff, obviously.) the site: lovshack.com
My notes have it correct.
I read my note wrong!
Calzones and Cold salads.
Dunno what else because only the site framework downloads, everything else stalls at 3 download signal squares.
The only other information I can clean is:
Open from 11am - 4am.
And their slogan:
Lick The Box.
Ooh! So frisky!

Here's hoping this new places doesn't do cross-promotion with Mad City Crab House.

this place opened up near purdue's campus when i went to school there. decent menu with numerous items/options/sauces if i remember correctly. will serve the late-night bar crowd well.
