The ceremonial tearing down of the TB awning occured today at 5:04pm.
The sound of canvas ripping was drowned out by that of my heart's.

Yes, the South Side of Pittsburgh has a "KenTacoHut". Many a Pitt student (and drunken people much older) regrettably ate there at 2 am, and still do. I think those are few and far between though - the combos seem mostly to be twosomes (either TB/KFC or TB/Pizza Hut).

Long John Silver's have become the bun-free version of a White Castle Slider - it may taste good going down, but you regret it immensely 45 minutes later.

I still kinda sorta wish that State Street and/or University Avenue had a nice, big, 24/7 diner.

Yes, with chicken pot pie made with locally grown vegetables and chicken. And fresh chèvre as an option with the omelettes (pale yellow, never browned). Simple, plain food, in other words. Treated without fuss but with respect.

The last fast chain on State Street, Taco Bell, is shutting its doors................................
and opening as.............
Taco Bell/Kentucky Fried Chicken!
That's right: TWO! TWO! TWO JOINTS IN ONE!
Can I get a quesadilla made with those beakless no-feet fat clucks KFC does right?
Can I get a layer of guac in my KFC Bowl?

These jokes have been passed around by Madison's intelligentsia for weeks now. I proposed a mashed potatoes taco.

There's a reason you're tired when you get home and blunt has tons of energy: you have a job.

Wet Pavement: what is up with your smelly wet blanket?
Did I refuse to fuck you at some point?
Why this obsession with inpet attempts at wrecking my groove?

Finally!
Today is the first day of the rest of your cramped-bowel life!
They are rolling out the tortilla carpet and blowing the burritoes!
The flightless beakless chickens are so happy and excited, they are voluntarily wading into the deepfat fryers!
And hey you, sour cream:
do I see a little smile?

It's a KFC - they DO have fries with that (or more accurately, 'wedges').

I went through inititaion and bought a taco.
Guess what?
I asked and they said sure they could make a mashed 'tater burrito or pour gravy on a taco!
