I often eat alone, so I enjoy the company.

I did get stuck on lower State St., waiting for some event. I ended up at the student union. It's interesting how many older people I see there.

I loved the chicken noodle soup there. But the owner who owns the Loose Juice cart on Library Mall, (aka one of the Sterling Hall bombers) is a real prick to his employees. Several times while eating there, I saw him in action, treating them very disrespectfully in front of customers. Loved the food not the owner.

Downtown means State Street and the Square, plus or minus a few digressions.

Domino's is across the street from Riley's Wines.

Chains must do something right.

Walgreens is one of the few huge chain stores I don't hate. Could be the drugs.

Taco Bell and McDonalds, Wendy's, etc, are cool because of the dollar menus.

Homeless people are all at the only free place to hang---the library. Just add cots.

I mention the homeless because it looks like gentrification is pushing them out of public view and I think that's wrong.

And I like cheap eats!

You think Gates and Buffet like a good dog sometimes?

Back off, spanky. That's my neighborhood Taco Bell. And before that it was my neighborhood Hardee's.

That shit is so goddamn nasty it is unbearable. The world would be a far better place without chalupas, gorditos, and crunchwraps.

Even those shitty microwaved frozen burritos from Seven Eleven are better than the e-coli infected slop they serve at that 4th mealinâ?? hellhole.

Jeseus Breakdancin' Christ, they can't even get chips and salsa right!

Ahhhh I feel much better now, thank you.

taco bell is so necessary. it's the only cheap & fast & grossly delicious vegetarian food on state street. besides a guac and cheese sandwich from jimmy johns.

Considering it's 4th meal (an amazing ad campaign btw)you can't really beat (for price, speed, and possibly taste) Taco Bell, or at least some items on their menu. Crunch wrap supremes and mexi-melts are pretty darn tasty. I'm strictly speaking about bar-time food. I would not go their if there were other places open near where I lived. Ian's Pizza in Monona would be a great start.

Wow, me , too.
Maybe we should eat alone together.

PS to spanky:
if things are subjectively nasty, why eat there?
Just don't remove choices I might embrace from the Buffet o' Life.

Oh man that takes all the fun out of being my usual assholy self - sigh.

Taco bell is not subjectively nasty, it is just plain ol' nasty. You just happen to like that particular brand of nast.

Ya know.............Taco Bell (except for the "lettuce" scandal) and Subway annually get the highest marks from the food inspector for cleanliness.
And the thing that costs a dollar or less anymore is a panhandler.
