JEFF & JIM'S PIZZA

Postby blunt » Thu Jan 11, 2007 6:38 pm

Pizza bigger than your head at the old La Bamba space above Asian Kitchen?
Not needed, not spectacular, but a decent wannabe Di Roma.
The slices come out really really hot but the sauce tastes a bit burnt; they looked like they'd been cowering in the display case a bit too long.
(At 11:20am?)
The best part about Jeff & Jim's---the two-slice-and-a drink-for-5-bucks special---is over.

Wow.
Perhaps the best part of Jeff and Jim's is that it's over.
Their nest next to Wasabi at State and Gorham remains dark, empty.
I don't think they're coming back.

I read on their website earlier this year that they were "closed for the summer". Well, we are into fall and that's obviously not true. Maybe their idea of summer is different than ours.

That's a shame - they made really good subs.

Kinda sucks that they gave Madison what, 3 months? (They have other locations in LaCrosse.)

It's the dreaded curse of being just off State Street.
