Page Numbers

Postby gargantua » Sat May 08, 2010 3:22 pm

Maybe this has been going on forever and I've just now noticed. On the front of this week's Isthmus were teasers for stories and reviews. For example, a review of Brickhouse BBQ....see page 28 it says.

None of the pages are numbered. I didn't bother to count the pages to see if the review was indeed on page 28....but if you don't number the pages, directing readers to a specific page number isn't all that helpful. Might as well say "in the middle" or "near the back".

I know, very minor on the list of life's irritants, but it's a cold rainy Saturday and bitching about it kept me occupied for a few minutes.

The pages are numbered, but the number does not stand out. They are located at the bottom corner margin, even numbers to the left and odd numbers to the right.

OK...I'll take a gander at this week's issue. Thanks.

They're not big. Look for them below the date.

Of course if you take an Isthmus south of the equator, this reverses.

You need to look at it in a mirror.
