agreed.
to be honest the blue doesn't work for me.
I keep thinking I'm getting too old to look at the screen because my eyes are actually hurting. Of course it goes away when I go to another site.

My humble .02.
YMMV

Please, please, please make a crisper delineation between different posts. It is very difficult to see where one post ends and another begins. Also, longer posts that contain multiple quotes seem to go on endlessly in this new format. Would be nice if progressively smaller fonts were used for the deeper layers of threads. Finally - help my aging eyes and make the text bolder and darker.

Same here. I think a light grey to match the rest of the site might work. Or, honestly, a simple white background with borders might be most readable.

Thanks for taking suggestions, btw, and good luck to those having to implement a pile of ideas for a new design that has to work across many types of browsers. Not easy.

It all seems better this morning. Did you fix something, or am I just getting used to it?

And what's all this at the bottom of the index page now:

"Registered users: Ask Jeeves [Bot], blunt, Exabot [Bot], Gigabot [Bot], Google [Bot], Google Adsense [Bot], Google Feedfetcher, hi, i'm new here, MSN [Bot], Stu Levitan, TurnitinBot [Bot], Yahoo [Bot] "

Looks like the search sites were updating their databases.

BTW I wanted to thank admin for giving back, on the index page, the
"number of views" column. I like knowing whether a topic is being ignored or getting a lot of looks even if nobody's posting there.

Maybe this as already been touched on... but here goes:
What does it all mean?
Red vs. Black
Moving vs. Still
Star vs. no Star (bellied sneeches?)
I don't get it.....
I know I should get it by now but.... nope.

Moving text means it's a popular topic. A star means you've posted in that topic. Red means there are posts you haven't read.

Seriously?

Hey, thanks. I wondered about the moving text thing too but felt stupid asking. I hadn't even noticed the stars and red stuff, but I'd never have figured those out either.

Most people grope their way through a web site the first time and thereafter keep on using what worked, even if it's not the most efficient route. No big deal.

Yeah, I guess I could have been one word less dickish about it.

I never would've guessed motion indicates a popular thread.

Seems like a waste of a good marker, since replies, views, and page count are pretty good indicators of popularity.

madison.com is so much easier to read. Not blue, and not chaotic like this new version of TDP. I guess they just have better web designers.

Moron. mad.com is using the old version of phpBB. TDP is using the new version. It has nothing to do with web designers.
