We're working on it. For those with a choice in browser software: Firefox is free and the best.

Did you guys fix something for IE6? This morning at work I navigated to TDPF with IE6 and I only got the one JavaScript error I used to get with the previous version of phpBB. Then later in the day I checked in from work with IE6 and I got no JavaScript errors at all. I couldn't believe it.

You've succeeded in making your site all the more tempting to browse from work...

Yeah, that is NOT cool.

Hate that links appear in the current window, rather than opening a new one.

Think it's silly that I can tell exactly what minute someone joined. Isn't date enough?

And goddammit, it's not 7:05 pm.
That was an hour ago!

I've blocked this image:
thedailypage.com/forum/styles/prosilver/imageset/topic_read_hot.gif
which makes life much easier. Animated gifs are cheesey, in a Velveeta sort of way. Now, what do to about that blue Trebuchet font that looks like blue toothpaste squirted on rough blue crepe paper?

Change the Daylight Saving Time setting in your profile. Unlike the last version of phpBB, the DST settings on this version actually work!

You can change that in the User Control Panel as well - just click the date format text box, choose Custom and delete the g:i a code at the end of the custom date format string.
Of course, that changes ALL dates you see, so you can't see what time someone leaves a post either.

Stuff is working much better now. I have adapted so the suck factor has diminished.

Not specifically for IE6, but there was certainly a js error there which we finally tracked down.
Glad it is working better for you.

Yeah, I get workarounds and customization... but I was looking for a smart default. Links now open in a new tab as the default, so I'm happy. Thank you, admin!

I think all this changing needs to change.
Of course, I'll eventually adapt. I'm a water sign so I trickle down the path of least resistance until I end up in a festering pool of complacency.
I still think the fonts are bland.
And it takes me a year to log on now because once I've signed in I don't automatically transfer to the index. A totally superfluous prompt wonders if I'd like to go there.
So I have to waste my time with an extra click. My finger hurts now.
And I miss the green dots.
And it's hard to tell if I'm online right now or not.

Your finger is saved!
Now when you log in you go immediately to the index rather than that user control panel page. Not sure what the thinking was behind directing you there, but life should be better now.

Can barely follow who wrote what. Please make it more readable. Contrast would help.

Was the decision based on how much more ad space they'd be? Well, I guess I shouldn't look a gift forum in the Obama for America.
