Junk Lulu Eightball already!

Empty space in the paper would be a welcome break from the rude, disgusting, inane trash that Emily Flake regularly spews each week. Is there nothing better to contribute than the same shockless, "shock-value" bartime garbage she sketches? The paper could sell one more ad or farm preschoolers for their artwork and the world would be a better place.

Be careful, Isthmus is very sensitive to criticism.
Fragile like baby bird, easily crushed.

Some are very funny. Others feature individual distasteful scenes among an otherwise funny cartoon.

Last week's cooter doodle was decidedly unfunny.

I'll same thing that the douchewads around here say about TDP forum content: If you don't like it, fuck off.

It's a complete waste of space. Lulu Eightball can't be dumped fast enough.

No! It's one of my favorite features. She's so insanely pathetic, I love her.

Great eye for social details.

Sure it's repetitive. That's half the point.

I'm not crazy about it. But it's like every other comic out there: sometimes it's funny, sometimes it's not. Certainly funnier than what it replaced (Life in Hell) which was once one of the best strips out there but is obviously one of the least things on Matt Groening's mind.

I think Lulu is right-on! more often than not.
Says things that need to be said and skewers them good-in the great tradition of editorial cartoonists.

The Olympics send up was vomit out loud funny!

And who could forget the lacerating of 24's agent Jack Bauer? who we are told, has to sleep with his own daughter to save the country...that's precisely the kind of satire needed to counter the fear mongering, torture apologizing, brainwashing, crap served up from Fox.

I find the comic more funny than not. I especially liked the "How Will You Be Judged?" strip last week.

Keep it.

If you don't like it, don't read it.
