That was fucked up. and hilarious. Like an enforced speech impediment.

It was weirder over on Madison.com when one of the moderator's headlines came out with the word "Tw@t" in it.

Bunny you jumped on that; do you remember what the headline came out as?

It was something with the word saltwater. Taffy? The word filters over there are a bit old fashioned that way.

I guess we'll have to call it salted-water now. That's the PC version.

That's perfect. the censors are always charging ahead, asking questions later.

In my web design class I would have the kids redesign the site
http://www.peepresearch.org/

because it was funny, but not technically very complicated. One year, suddenly, it was blocked. Apparently the word peep is just too globally dangerous.

Thankfully, I was only in Britain for the few hours between flights on either way to Berlin. It was a great week with much football, beer, great food and the incredibly liberating feeling of being in a completely foreign place with very little knowledge of what people around you are saying.

When you go to a place like Berlin, you end up learning something about America. One of the first nights there, we fell in with some college kids who had all been required to study outside Germany for a year. All had chosen the US and loved it, planned to return, etc. In between translating soccer songs for us, they told us about how much they thought Americans would be warmly welcomed in Europe now that our garbage president was leaving office. After hearing that, we noticed how much more the locals would chat with us, trade laughs, put up with our horrible German than two years ago.
