The place is the bomb. Appears the closest one to Madison is Brookfield. You guys should lobby for one.

They are coming to West Towne Mall. This article is from October 2017, but it doesn't say when it is expected to open.

A 23,000 sq ft liquor store <<< haven't used an interrobang in a while

We'll keep our go-tos (Square Wine Co, Table Wine, Trixie's), but I like the idea of a place to browse for new things to try. Went on their site and got a few "Not available in your area" notes, ranging from a $19 Polish vodka to an $800 Clynelish. Maybe the Madison store will have things the Brookfield store doesn't? (Not that I'm in the market for an $800 whiskey.)

I've been to the one in Eagan, MN, and I have to say, nothing in Madison compares. Happy to hear we have one coming, though my liver and wallet will suffer.

It's a fantastic place. Lots of sampling and friendly employees. I have a buddy that works part time there and he loves the place.

It's nicely merchandised and broken up into smaller areas. Lots of help in the aisles. My boss wanted a case of a rare wine as a gift for a client and they had it at a great price.

Sounds kind of like Binny's Beverage in Chicago. I think their Lincoln Park location expanded from 33,000 sq ft to 50,000 ft

Ned likes a big box store? What a surprise.

http://host.madison.com/wsj/business/to ... 0b88b.html

"The Madison store would be its third location in the state and is scheduled to open in May, according to documents filed with the city. Total Wine is requesting a class B liquor license similar to what a bar would obtain. Such a license would allow special events in the store, which would be equipped with a 48-seat education center, tasting bars and a growler station to fill jugs of beer for home consumption."

For Total Wine, it’s total war against alcohol regulations

ah total war -- totalen krieg . . i thought i recognised something albert speer-ish about the last big box store i saw . . .

i notice that a lot of these huge stores seem to have flat roofs -- so what's going to happen the next time there is an ice (glaze) storm that puts down say 75 mm of ice all over everything?

I got that flyer too. Not convinced that Woodman's isn't cheaper on a lot of stuff.
